MEET RIZWAN
Oshawa is my home, and I am proud to be running for Regional & City Councillor in Ward 3. I decided to enter the 2026 municipal election because I believe our community deserves a councillor who listens, speaks up, and puts residents first.

I hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Ontario Tech University and I am a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). With over 10 years of experience in project and operations management, I have worked with residents, contractors, municipalities, and teams in roles focused on leadership, customer service, problem-solving, and responsible decision-making.
​
My priorities include keeping property tax as low as reasonably possible, improving infrastructure, strengthening public safety, promoting accountability, and advocating for better access to healthcare and community services.
​
If elected, I want to be an accessible, responsive, and visible councillor who communicates openly with residents, challenges unnecessary spending, and focuses on practical solutions that provide real value to taxpayers.
​
I have also supported organizations including SickKids, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, and the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
